CLOTHES
• 4 pairs of long pants or sweats (shorts are not permitted at HVC)
• 4-5 shirts, long or short sleeved (long enough to cover stomach area)
• 4-5 pairs of underwear
• 4-5 pairs of socks
• 1-2 sweatshirts
• 1 coat/jacket
• 2 pairs of gloves (one for warmth and one for service project)
• Warm pajamas
• Tennis shoes, or comfortable closed toe shoes
• Hiking boots or shoes
• Flip flops (for showering only)

GEAR
• Light backpack or fanny pack
• Water bottle
• Whistle to wear around neck (optional)
• Sunscreen
• Bug repellant
• Sunglasses
• Hat for sun protection
• Rain poncho
• Flashlight
• Personal first-aid kit/medication
• Sleeping bag
• Pillow
• Air mattress or sleeping pad (no thicker than 5”)
• Camp chair (optional)

PERSONAL ITEMS
• Toiletries – deodorant, toothbrush/paste, lotion, soap, shampoo, feminine products
• Hairbrush
• Towel for showering
• Hand towel and wash cloth
• Scriptures
• Pen and pencil
• Personal journal
We highly discourage bringing electronic devices, including cell phones
Please be prepared for inclement weather
